Our story

Why toilet paper?
  • Inspired during a 2019 trip to France, we noticed pink toilet paper in two guest houses miles apart.

  • It made us question: why is toilet paper white, and what impact does that have?

  • Research revealed how harmful toilet paper can be to the environment, with unnecessary bleach, scents, and dyes.

  • We set out to create the most sustainable alternative.

  • And so, Naked Sprout was born.
Where we started
  • We wanted others to have their “pink” moment and rethink their everyday toilet paper.

  • Most tissue products are full of harsh chemicals and wrapped in plastic.

  • Plastic-free, unbleached bamboo tissue was our starting point for sustainable change.
Where we are

  • Traditional tissue production relies on fossil fuels; we chose a different path.

  • We ensure living wages across our supply chain and provide safe water for children in Kenya with every box sold.
